Potty training

Logan thinks that anything that gets him attention is funny. Last week I was down stairs folding laundry, and I asked M'Tali if she would go find Logan for me because I hadn't heard him for awhile. She went upstairs and told me to come look at him, and this is how we found him. He thought he was so funny he started splashing and jumping around, I thought it was so disgusting but luckily I had just cleaned the toilet. Of course we put him in the tub and got him all clean.
Hopefully this will be a sign that he is easy to potty train, and that he'll sit on the toilet and not in it!!!
Logan has so much personality and is always making us laugh!!!

M'Tali is growing up to be such a beautiful young lady, it's hard to believe that in just a few short weeks she will be going into Young Women's. She is such an amazing, beautiful daughter!!!!

LOGAN'S FIRST SURGERY :( :(

Today Logan went in for his surgery to get his tubes in his ears. Overall I think the surgery went really well, a lot better then I thought it would. It was so hard for me to hand him over to the doctor, and have him walk away from me with Logan in his arms, Logan never cried when they took him out of my arms, but he had a look on his face that said "where am I going without my mom"!!! He watched us the whole time they walked down the hallway till we were out of sight,after that I'm not sure if he cried, I didn't ask because I didn't want to think about him crying, wanting me and his daddy. The surgery only took about 25 minutes but it seemed like eternity!!! I'm hoping this will help with his ear infections. I'm also hoping that it will help him eat better. Logan does NOT like anything that has texture to it. His diet consists of Baby food(YES, at almost 16 months he STILL LOVES baby food), yogurt, applesauce, peaches, jello, bananas"NANAS"(that's what he calls them), and some fruit purees that I found. Very rarely will eat anything else.

This is before surgery, he was so happy, he kept smiling and waving at everyone!!!





After surgery....He was really groggy and wasn't sure where he was at, he kept looking around trying to figure it out. He did so well, that within about an hour he was up and running around, no one would have ever guessed he had just had surgery, but later tonight he started getting really fussy and clingy and was asleep by 8:30. Thank you for all the prayers that were offered on Logan's behalf. Dad thank you for the wonderful blessing that you gave Logan.









I promise this week I will update from our whole summer. We had a wonderful summer with lots of fun activities. I got a little behind but I'll do better!!!

Logan's First Birthday Photo Shoot!!!

A few weeks ago my really good friend Danielle did a photo shoot for Logan's first birthday. They turned out AMAZING. She is such a talented and amazing photographer. Logan was being a little stinker this day because we had to wake him up from his nap to go do these, but she was able to capture some great shots and show his true personality!!! Thank you Danielle for once again doing such great pictures!!!!

This one is my most favorite!!! I just love the look on his face, this is one of the last ones we did besides the cake ones and he was getting really fussy so we gave him some treats, but the look on his face truly captured his true personality!!!!

Logan's "NEW" Binky

When Logan was born, I said that I would not give him a Binky, none of my other kids would ever take a Binky and I liked that I never had to take it away from them, but when he was in the hospital the first time, they told me that it could be a great comfort for him because he had to stay under the lights for his jaundice ALL the time, he could only come out every three hours for a half hour to eat, so I gave in and let him have it.......Then the nightmare began, he LOVES his Binky, he had to have it ALL the time, 24/7. He would even wake up in the middle of the night and cry because he didn't have it. I have to admit it was kind of nice at times, if he ever got fussy we would give him a Binky and he would stop crying it was like magic, we even called it his mute button, and it even got to the point where we called it his oxygen tank because he COULD NOT live without it. I told Josh that when he turned a year old the Binky was GONE, that he would not be allowed to have it anymore, so just a few days before he turned a year old I throw them all away, yes he was extremely fussy and threw MAJOR fits and it was so hard to not be able to comfort him at times, but I LOVED looking at his face and not seeing that big green Binky in his mouth. It's been about three weeks so far and it's going pretty good, I THOUGHT that he might have forgotten all about his Binky until this morning when he woke up at 6:45 and I was so tired from working late last night, so I put him in bed with me and he got REALLY REALLY fussy, but then about thirty seconds later he was quit so I look over at him wondering why he was so quit and ....................

He had found a "NEW Binky. He has been teething a lot lately and was running a slight fever the other night so we gave him some infants Tylenol and we must have left it on our bed, he found it and used the rubber end of it as his new Binky!!!! Guess I was all wrong, he hadn't forgotten all about it!!!

Logan's hair is getting so long that if I don't comb it when he gets out of the tub then it sticks straight up, he reminds me of Albert Einstein. He is usually a happy baby as long as he gets his way, today I took his Binky(we call it his oxygen tank, cuz he can't live with out it )away so I could take a picture of his hair, and he started throwing a fit and started yelling at me.

These pictures crack me up, he is drooling all over and his puckered up little lip is so cute, I know I'm mean but I couldn't help but laugh at him!!!!
Then I gave him the cover of my lens and he was all happy again, like I said he's the happiest boy around as long as he gets what he wants
The faces that he pulls make me laugh, he is such a cute little kid that if he had any cheeks to pinch I'd probably pinch them all day. I love spending the day with him. He makes life so worth it when the heartache is so strong. How could you not just look at this little boy and be happy!!!



Logan loves just being in his diaper. If it was up to him he wouldn't ever get dressed, so on the days that I'm not going anywhere in the morning I let him hang out in just his onsies!!!! It's hard to believe that he is almost a year old. Where does time go??? They grow up so fast!!!
